Delta Slim at The Outpost - Midnight Hour Blues

After a long, long wait, I finally got to see Delta Slim's Cebu gig. Wish I'd seen this live though. Also in this video, Delta Slim's new Harana acoustic guitar had its debut and we can see what an outstanding instrument it truly is. (I can hear Boss Anot in the background excitedly commenting as well as the appreciative Cebuano crowd roaring at the end of each number.) Again, another great performance from a great Blues man.

Masters of Delta Blues Guitar - Hey Hey! Big Bill Broonzy/Eric Clapton Lesson

One of the most recognizable Blues pieces ever, "Hey, Hey!" was originally done by Big Bill Broonzy and remade by countless other artists including Eric Clapton. Never mind the guy-with-shade's crappy singing, learn this lesson by heart and have another great addition to your Blues guitar lick arsenal!

Slow Blues in E Lesson by Stefan Grossman

Here's a pretty cool instructional in the key of "E." I'm sure Blues guitar aficionados would find these licks useful. This is just one in a series of videos done by Mr. Grossman which he unselfishly shares with us. Watching this guy play would either encourage or inspire - he makes it look sooooo easy!

Backing Track in G - Great for Harp!

I just found this great acoustic backing track in the key of G. Great for practice, especially with the Blues harp - not too fast, not too slow, just the right speed. And remember to use a "C" harp for this. Keep on wailin'!!!

Blues Solo on A by DenverSatriani11

Never too young to be a Blues player. Here's Denver doing an acoustic number in the key of A.

Steamroller Blues by Chris Cendana

An interesting video from Chris Cendana featuring James Taylor's Steamroller Blues. Here he gives an invite to all blues guitarists to fill in the solo part of the song with their own licks. Chris Cendana is a Filipino singer and songwriter living in beautiful Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Learn more about Chris through http://www.cendana.info/bio.html.

Acoustic Blues Guitar Lesson

Just one of a series of excellent acoustic Blues guitar lessons from Marty of nextlevelguitar.com. I wish YouTube was around when I was learning the guitar. Lucky for those just starting and those who are into Blues, videos like this abound, all for your learning pleasure. As they say, it's never too late to teach an old dog new tricks!

Changin' Neighborhoods by pickinpop and Jon "Colot"

A guy from Louisiana and Jon Colot of Butuan City doing an acoustic number "Changin' Neighborhoods." Interesting lead, fine rhythm, good vocals... excellent!

Cookie Blues

A really funny take on the Blues by a trio of "gingerbread men," featuring an acoustic guitar player, a lap guitar player, and a vocalist who gets a not-so-good ending. Just watch and have a good laugh!

Acoustic Guitar

The acoustic guitar is the most recognizable instrument used by blues artists. Maybe because it was and still is the most practical to use. It is affordable, can produce a great range of tones and sounds, easy to carry around, and most of all, gives the artist a "cool" low-down bluesy look. Robert Johnson, who "made a deal with the devil," used a Kalamazoo KG-14 like this.
