After a long, long wait, I finally got to see Delta Slim's Cebu gig. Wish I'd seen this live though. Also in this video, Delta Slim's new Harana acoustic guitar had its debut and we can see what an outstanding instrument it truly is. (I can hear Boss Anot in the background excitedly commenting as well as the appreciative Cebuano crowd roaring at the end of each number.) Again, another great performance from a great Blues man.

Here's proof that Pinoy Blues bands are at par with the world's best. This is a live performance by Soul Benders, fronted by the best slide guitarist in the land Joric Manlanque during the first Hobbit House Rock 'n' Roll and Blues Festival of 2008. From Wikipedia: "Key to the Highway" is a blues standard first recorded by Charlie Segar in 1940.

This is a live version of Di Na Lang Sana by Firebottle, fronted by 'deltaslim' Joric Manlangque, one of the vanguards of Pinoy Blues, showing his vocal and guitar playing prowess! If you're one of the few lucky dudes who got a copy of the Blueskrieg album, you'll find this on track #8. Kakoi Legaspi does the Blues harp chores on this one.
