Vatican Endorses "The Blues Brothers"

Who could have thought that "The Blues Brothers" would be one of the films recommended for viewing by the Catholic authorities? It now joins the ranks of "The Ten Commandments," "Jesus of Nazareth," "The Passion of The Christ," "Joan of Arc," and "It's a Wonderful Life"

No wonder in his book, theologian Stephen Nichols reminds us that the musical genre of the Blues helps us to understand what we call redemption.
